Lallemand at VIV Asia — 72 sqm Curved Island Stand
The Brief
Lallemand — a Canadian biotechnology company with a major animal nutrition and health division — needed a 72 sqm island stand at VIV Asia, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. VIV Asia draws livestock producers, integrators, feed mill buyers and technical decision-makers from across Asia. The stand needed to communicate Lallemand's ingredient credentials clearly to a technically literate agricultural audience, provide buyer meeting space and look distinct in a hall where most exhibitors default to rectangular layouts.
The Constraint
The brief called for curved geometry throughout the stand — curved back wall, curved counters, flowing transitions between zones. Curves in exhibition stand fabrication require CNC-routed formers and joinery that cannot be produced from standard flat sheet. Every curved element had to be engineered to transport flat and reassemble cleanly on-site, with tight tolerance on the former geometry. A curved panel that fits perfectly in the workshop but reassembles with a radius error on-site reads as a fabrication failure. Managing this across a 72 sqm all-curve brief — multiple sections, multiple curve instances — without build time expanding beyond the move-in window was the central difficulty.
The Approach
We resolved the complexity by designing all curves to a single consistent radius. One radius throughout the stand meant the formers could be produced as a family from a single CNC programme rather than individually per element. The back wall, counter face and seating surround all share the same curve. This reduced fabrication complexity and allowed each section to be pre-checked for fit against the same template in the workshop before transport. The palette — white primary with brand green and natural timber accents — kept the stand legible in a busy agricultural hall where most surrounding stands are denser in their graphic treatment.
The Build
All curved panels were CNC-routed, assembled as complete sections and confirmed for fit in the workshop. Packing crates were designed around the curved panel shapes rather than standard rectangular cases. On-site, the curved back structure was assembled and confirmed plumb before the counters and seating elements were brought in. Each section was checked for radius consistency as it was fitted. The stand was completed within the standard IMPACT move-in window.
