QSNCC — Exhibitor and Contractor Reference Guide
Rules, specifications and build-up schedules change between event editions and must be confirmed against the current exhibitor manual for your specific show. Last reviewed: 18 August 2026.
Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) is a convention and exhibition centre on Ratchadapisek Road in Khlong Toei, central Bangkok. The complex was substantially rebuilt and reopened in September 2022. It provides column-free exhibition halls, congress and plenary facilities and pre-function areas. QSNCC is directly connected to the Bangkok MRT (QSNCC station on the Blue Line) and is approximately 25 km from Suvarnabhumi Airport by expressway. The show calendar focuses on pharmaceutical ingredients, food ingredients, nutraceuticals and aesthetic medicine — events where the visitor profile demands a higher finish standard than a typical industrial machinery show. The most important structural constraint at QSNCC is ceiling height: the exhibition spaces are lower than at BITEC or IMPACT, which constrains stand height and may make double-deck or overhead rigging impractical at some positions.

Access windows
Build-up and Dismantling
Shorter build-up windows than BITEC or IMPACT
Shows at QSNCC typically allocate 2–3 days of build-up time for custom stands — shorter than the 3–5 day windows common at BITEC or IMPACT. A stand design that works comfortably within a 4-day BITEC window may need to be simplified for a 2-day QSNCC build. Discuss the confirmed build-up schedule with your contractor before the stand design is finalised — not after.
Vehicle access and delivery windows
QSNCC's central Bangkok location imposes more restriction on large-vehicle access than BITEC or IMPACT. Cargo enters through a designated loading entrance accessed via specified routes only. Delivery windows are set by the organiser; vehicles arriving outside a confirmed slot wait for the next available window. Advance coordination of delivery timing is essential — late arrivals compress an already short build window.
What commonly causes delay at QSNCC
Exhibitors underestimating how much the shorter build window constrains stand complexity. FR certificate documentation not matching the material schedule submitted during approval, triggering re-inspection. Deliveries arriving at the wrong entrance or outside the booking slot. Design elements that require ceiling rigging, discovered during build-up to be unavailable at that position.
On-site access
Contractor Requirements
Contractor registration and QSNCC-specific approval
All contractors working at QSNCC during build-up and dismantling must be registered with the show organiser and hold valid contractor badges. QSNCC applies its own approval requirements for contractors in addition to the organiser's process. Contractors unfamiliar with QSNCC may encounter delays in the registration and approval stage — factor this into planning timelines.
Insurance
Standard third-party liability insurance is required, covering build-up, show days and dismantling. Minimum insured amounts are set by the organiser and stated in the exhibitor manual. Confirm the exact requirement and any co-insured party requirements in the organiser's manual before the insurance policy is issued.
Fire retardant inspection — active and document-specific
QSNCC's fire retardant inspection process is thorough. Inspectors cross-reference materials on site against the FR certificate numbers submitted during the approval process. Physical certificates — not digital copies on a phone or email — are required on site during build-up. Prepare a material schedule listing the FR certificate reference for every component, and bring the physical originals.
What you can build
Stand Construction Rules
Ceiling height — the critical constraint
QSNCC exhibition spaces have lower ceiling clearances than BITEC or IMPACT. This is the most important structural variable for any stand designed above 3 m. Confirm the exact clear ceiling height for your specific hall and stand position with the organiser before committing to elevations. A stand designed for a 4.5 m height limit that arrives at a position with 4 m clear height cannot be built as designed.
Double-deck stands — confirm feasibility first
Whether a double-deck structure is feasible at QSNCC depends on the hall and stand position. Some areas of QSNCC may not physically accommodate a full double-deck structure of standard proportions. Confirm the ceiling clearance for your position with the organiser and your contractor before committing to a two-storey design. Structural drawings and organiser approval are required if a double-deck proceeds.
Overhead rigging
Ceiling rigging at QSNCC is significantly more constrained than at BITEC or IMPACT. The combination of lower ceiling height and the building's structural configuration limits both the practical height and load capacity of suspended elements. Confirm rigging availability for your specific hall and position with the organiser before budgeting for any suspended element.
Finish quality standard
The events at QSNCC attract visitors accustomed to the exhibition standards of Singapore, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Visible fabrication joins, exposed MDF edges, rough panel edges and generic printed graphics are conspicuous at QSNCC shows in a way they are not at industrial machinery events. All stand surfaces, edges and lighting should be finished to a standard consistent with high-value ingredient and medical events.
Utilities and connectivity
Services and Ordering
Power ordering
Single-phase 220 V / 50 Hz and three-phase 380 V / 50 Hz available through the organiser's official service form. Service deadlines are enforced strictly at QSNCC shows. Collect your complete power load schedule from your contractor before the deadline. Late orders may not be fulfilled within the available build-up window.
Water and drainage
Water and drainage availability depends on the stand position and hall in use. Confirm with the organiser's service team before including a sink, tasting element, or water-based feature in the stand design. Water connections are fixed — they cannot be relocated to a different position on site.
Internet
Dedicated bandwidth is available through the official service order. For shows with high device-demonstration or streaming requirements — IMCAS Asia in particular — order bandwidth early and specify the required allocation. Add a cellular-based backup for any business-critical digital system.
Freight and access
Logistics
Vehicle access — more constrained than BITEC or IMPACT
QSNCC's central Bangkok location limits the practical size and timing of deliveries. All cargo moves through a designated loading entrance via specified routes. Large vehicles require pre-coordination with the venue operations team. Deliveries must fit within the organiser's scheduled windows; off-plan arrivals wait for the next available slot.
Forklift and lifting equipment
Forklift hire is available through the organiser's service contractor. Bring-your-own forklifts require prior approval from the organiser. For any heavy or large structural components, confirm lifting arrangements before the components are manufactured — not on the morning of arrival.
On-site storage — limited
Storage capacity at QSNCC is more limited than at BITEC or IMPACT. All empty packing materials must be removed from the building before the show opens. If you expect a significant volume of packaging, arrange offsite storage with your freight handler before build-up begins.
Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the hall and stand position. QSNCC's exhibition spaces have lower ceiling clearances than BITEC or IMPACT, which may not physically accommodate a full double-deck of standard proportions. Confirm the exact clear ceiling height for your specific position with the organiser before committing to a two-storey design. There is no single clearance figure that applies across all QSNCC exhibition spaces.
Ceiling rigging at QSNCC is more restricted than at BITEC or IMPACT. The ceiling height and structural configuration of the building limit both the practical height of suspended elements and the available load capacity. Confirm rigging availability and permitted weights with the organiser for your specific hall and position before budgeting for any suspended element.
The pharma, food ingredient, nutraceutical and aesthetic medicine events at QSNCC attract international buyers and senior professionals accustomed to the exhibition standard of events in Singapore, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Exposed MDF edges, rough joinery and generic printed panels are noticeably out of place. Plan for a fully detailed and finished build — clean edges, consistent surface quality and precise lighting.
Cargo enters QSNCC through a designated loading entrance accessed via specified routes only. Central Bangkok location means large vehicles have limited road access flexibility, particularly for wide-load or oversized consignments. Deliveries must be timed within the organiser's scheduled loading windows. Pre-coordinate all deliveries and confirm your slot before the truck is dispatched.
Very actively. Inspectors at QSNCC check physical FR documentation against the material schedule submitted during the approval process. Digital copies on a phone or in email are not consistently accepted. Bring physical FR certificates for all stand materials — wall panels, flooring, fabric, printed elements — and a material schedule listing the certificate reference for each component.
QSNCC's post-renovation quality and MRT connectivity create a venue environment well matched to the science-oriented, international events that use it. The planning variables are narrower than at IMPACT — fewer halls, shorter build windows and a well-defined organiser process — but the ceiling height constraint and the finish standard are more demanding than at a general industrial show. Pixelmate Exhibition Co., Ltd. has built stands for pharma, food ingredient and nutraceutical clients at QSNCC including CPHI South East Asia and Fi Asia. These specifications are reviewed periodically; confirm all current rules against the official exhibitor technical guide for your show and edition.
